Christmas

Christmas was so different for us this year. We stayed in Utah and spent a quiet Christmas with our little family. Melanie came to visit which was so nice. Melanie is so helpful and Mallory just adores her. We had some delicious treats, watched some amazing Hallmark movies, visited Santa, and saw the new Star Wars movie!

Mallory and I made sugar cookies which she endearingly calls "shapies".

Paul is the best and spend time with Mallory out in the freezing cold snow. Her favorite is definitely the sledding where we do all the work for her.

Our cute little lovey in her Christmas Sunday outfit.

Paul, having left Nudge and didn't start at Jive for a couple weeks took the time to have some high quality Father-Daughter bonding time (Mallory calls it "Papa's show).

Mallory was rather unsure about the old man in the funny suit, but it was a success that she didn't cry!

Jared, Lisi, and Daphne came over for our Christmas Eve dinner. Which I ruined because I don't know how to cook an entire chicken so we ate our Christmas meal without the festive meat. The worst part? The chicken was AMAZING once it finished cooking (2 hours after we finished eating dinner). Poor little Daph and Mal were forced into acting out the first nativity (special appearance from Dudley the horse). Daphne, being an entire head taller than Mallory was cast as Joseph and Mallory, already having the belly of a pregnant woman was cast as Mary (Dudley was cast as the donkey). It was very near the real deal.

Christmas morning was very low key and quiet. We faced time with a bunch of family, Mallory played with all of her new toys, and we of course went and visited the Dickey family.
